Ryan Spindell was born in the wilderness of Maine and raised in the swamps of Florida, so if you have any questions about living in the sticks, he’s your man. An award-winning filmmaker, artist and graphic designer, Ryan’s short films Kirksdale, The Window and The Root Of The Problem have screened in over one hundred film festivals world-wide winning over a dozen awards including “Best Short Film” “Best Screenplay” and “Best In Fest.”

In 2013 Ryan established Trapdoor Pictures, a boutique production company that specializes in horror and dark fantasy for film, television and the web. Under the Trapdoor banner, Ryan and his partners produced WE COME IN PIECES, a short documentary, BUNDLE OF NERVES a short horror comedy for Legendary Pictures and most recently THE BABYSITTER MURDERS, which won top "Jury" and "Audience" awards at The Stanley Film Festival, Fantastic Fest and the Calgary Underground Film Festival.

Ryan is currently gearing up for his first feature film THE MORTUARY COLLECTION, which will be shot later this year.
